A few common acid foods are beef, fish, butter, whole milk, and fat oils. A few common alkaline foods are beans, legumes, carrots, and lemons. It should be noted that just because a food source is known to have items such as ‘citric acid’ within them, there is no guarantee they will be an acid food. Lemons are full of vitamin C, citric acid, but they are a potent alkaline food source.
